Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to book a trip?

Our fishing seasons change throughout the year. If you have something specific you’d like to catch, make sure to ask about it at the time of booking. Regardless of the season, there is always something to catch in St Augustine.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable?

Less than ideal weather does not permit cancellation. Your Captain is responsible for safety & decides when the weather is unsafe to go. In Florida, predicting the weather several days out is almost impossible. If conditions are unsafe, we will try to reschedule your trip or cancel your trip without penalty.

Once we arrive at the Conch house, where do we go?

Once you arrive at the marina, walk down the dock & take your second left (i Dock) onto the floating docks. We will meet right there at the base of the ramp.

What do I need to provide?

We suggest bringing a hat & sunglasses, drinks, water, and snacks in a small cooler, and weather appropriate clothing. Please NO glass bottles or spray sunscreen.

We will provide the bait, tackle, fishing licenses, & fish cleaning services.

How can I protect myself from getting sea sick?

If this is your first time going offshore in a boat (coastal trips) then it is recommended that you take Dramamine to avoid motion sickness. It is best to take a half dose the night before your trip & the other half the morning of your trip. Eating something light the morning of your trip helps a lot too. Like a piece of toast or small sandwich.

How can we contact you?

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out directly to us at any time. It is best to text or call (904) 315-4758.

How far do we go offshore?

We travel anywhere from 1 - 35 miles offshore. Generally, the length of the trip determines the distance we travel. We do not promise a distance because sometimes the fishing is better in closer.

What is the difference between inshore and coastal?

Inshore fishing is in the intracoastal waterway fishing the creeks & tributaries of St Augustine. Coastal fishing is offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.

How many fish at one time?

We typically only fish 4 lines at a time. Due to the nature of where & how we fish, more lines in the water lead to more tangles & reduced fishing time.

What can we expect on the day of the charter?
